Bill joined the Board in 2015. A structural engineer by background, he is a director at WSP, one of the world’s leading professional services firms. Typically involved at the early stage of projects, Bill works with clients, stakeholders and other professionals to create property and infrastructure solutions which are deliverable and economic. He worked on the multi-award winning Shard from the earliest stages of design development alongside the client Sellar Property Group and architect Renzo Piano.
In the period of 2001 – 2005 Bill was seconded to the Royal Shakespeare Company as project manager to develop the brief for the re-construction project. Later, he led the design of the Courtyard Theatre which was used during the RSC transition period. Amongst other things, Bill is currently Engineering Project Director for the new concert facility at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
