A Tree from Norway!

You may have noticed a beautiful Christmas tree twinkling in the Rose Café... but did you know this tree has been kindly donated to us from the Norwegian embassy in London?
Norway also gift the magnificent Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square, in a tradition dating back to 1947. Every year, a tall spruce is felled in Oslo and shipped over the North Sea all the way to London!
We are delighted to host our own piece of the lasting friendship between Norway and England, right here in Kingston.
