The Rose is deeply saddened by the death of Anthony Simonds-Gooding CBE, our former chairman of the Rose from 2008-2014.
During his tenure the Rose grew from strength to strength producing pioneering productions such as Peter Hall’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream starring Judi Dench, Michael Frayn’s Donkey’s Years starring Keith Barron and Jacqueline Wilson’s Hetty Feather (West End transfer and Olivier Award nominee).
Anthony Simonds Gooding died on 16 October 2017. Our thoughts are with his wife Marjorie, his six children and 12 grandchildren.
