Fri 26 Jan

Calling all thespians! We are pleased to announce a wonderful new opportunity for local people to form a pivotal role in our much-anticipated production of Much Ado About Nothing to celebrate the Rose’s 10th birthday.

We are looking for passionate local people to make up our community chorus and take to the stage alongside a professional company of actors led by Mel Giedroyc as Beatrice. Set in Sicily, in a luxury hotel controlled by the Mafia, the production aims to give Shakespeare’s great comedy a thrilling contemporary edge.

The community chorus will join the company of Much Ado About Nothing in voluntary, non-speaking roles and will be performing across the full run. This is a brilliant chance for local residents to gain first hand experience of working on a professional production, and we ask that all successful applicants commit fully to this rigorous but rewarding opportunity.

Much Ado About Nothing plays at the Rose from Fri 13 Apr - Sun 6 May.
