Riverside Walk are delighted to announce an exciting new floating venue. The Seven Saxons is a 60-foot wide-beam narrowboat moored up outside our restaurants. The roof of the boat will become an ideal platform for live music, spoken word, stand-up comedy or theatre and dance performances for diners and visitors to the Riverside Walk restaurants. Over the Winter they will be fitting out the internal space within the Seven Saxons as a flexible event space ready for a full line-up of events for next summer.
In the meantime, Riverside Walk are very excited to be partnering with the International Youth Arts Festival this summer with a programme of exciting young musicians performing on the roof of the Seven Saxons. After such a long period of lockdown it’s such a pleasure to be able to celebrate the Arts and all the talented young artists who have been struggling so much during the pandemic.
Join us at Riverside Walk for a celebration of a return to normality with those nearest and dearest to you with the best food, drink and music. If you’re planning a visit why not take the opportunity to book a trip out on a GoBoat Kingston which is great fun for all the family, and follow it up with a nightime visit to our new video installation ‘Echolocation’ by acclaimed Artist Mat Collishaw, in the ‘undercroft’ between Cote brasserie and The Bishop pub, showing daily between 9pm-11pm. It’s been such a long time since we were able to enjoy live music and food, let’s make this summer an unforgettable one!
