Story Storks is super excited to be returning to the Rose Theatre this Easter with two stories!!
4 April - KING ATHELSTAN (10am and 11am) Come and hear the historically funny tale of King Athelstan, one of the seven Saxon Kings actually crowned in Kingston (although there were only three crowned in Kingston according to the official records, but that's another story). We learn how he grew up with his crazy Aunt Ethel, fought off the Vikings and became the first King of England when he was crowned in Kingston's historic market place. Full of the usual fun and giggles, this storytelling workshop was put together thanks to a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Please do come - I can't fight off those Vikings alone!!
11 April - St GEORGE AND THE DRAGON (10am and 11am) A little ahead of St George's day, come and join us for some fabulous Knighty fun. We follow the boy from Coventry on his adventures, slay a dragon, rescue the princess and eat dragon sausages for tea!!
Full of fun, music, song, rhyme, crazy characters, secret phonics and sneaky maths, these workshops are made to fire up a child's imagination whilst helping to get them ready for reading. Workshops are £7.50 per child, and you need to book a place per child. Babes in arms are welcome and come free of charge. You don't need to book a place for adults.
