COVID-19 Safety Measures & Procedures

Your Visit

As lockdown measures are eased and we begin to cautiously and strategically reopen our venue for 27 June 2021, the safety of those who visit and work inside our building is our highest priority. As such, we have implemented necessary measures that comply with all COVID-19 safety guidelines set out by the government.

We're proud to be See it Safely approved by SOLT and UK Theatre, so you can feel confident and safe knowing that we are COVID-secure and following the latest government and performing arts guidelines.

Our season of summer shows is launching on a socially distanced basis. We await updates on Step 4 of the Government’s roadmap and hope to reopen safely at full capacity. Even if measures do allow a return to full capacity, socially distanced performances will be available for most shows in the season. Check the individual show listings for details. Our audiences’ safety and wellbeing will always be at the forefront of our planning.

The Rose is a COVID secure venue. We are following the safety and hygiene measures for businesses set out by the government in its performing arts guidance. Alongside this, tickets are only available in fixed groups, where 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or a maximum of 6 tickets are seated together; each group must only consist of one household or support bubble; each group is distanced by 1m+ from the other groups.

Book with confidence

We allow maximum flexibility for you to exchange your ticket(s) up to 24 hours before the performance.

Tickets are available to buy online in advance so we can ensure the easiest, quickest and safest entry to our theatres.

Your tickets will be sent by email before the performance to avoid the need for Box Office collection.

Rest assured, you will be entitled to an exchange or refund should government guidelines lead to any changes in our performance schedules.

A banner with the safety measures we have in place: temperature checks, hand sanitiser stations, social distancing, face coverings required, timed entry, contactless tickets, pre-ordered refreshments, contactless payments only, distanced seating and regular cleaning. The banner also asks patrons be patient if staff take longer than usual, and to stay home if you have COVID-19 symptoms.

We appreciate that this will be a different experience from your usual visits to the Rose, but we hope to ensure it will be just as memorable and enjoyable.

Please respect our staff, adhere to our precautions and work with us to fight this virus.

If you have any conerns or further questions regarding our COVID-19 safety precautions, please contact [email protected]

Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation.
