★★★★★ 'Magnificent ... wildly funny' Sunday Express
★★★★'What a play it is ... Elizabeth McGovern shows a terrific gift for comedy. Nigel Lindsay's Michael is the perfect foil' Daily Mail

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, this ruthlessly funny play of middle class parenting by the author of Art, is one of the most successful plays ever in the history of the West End.

When Ferdinand hits Bruno in a playground punch-up knocking out two of his teeth, the combatants’ enlightened parents decide to meet to talk things over civilly. But once the niceties are done with and the drink starts flowing, it is the parents who turn into spoiled brats.

Elizabeth McGovern is best-known for her performance as Cora Crawley in Downton Abbey, receiving nominations for both an Emmy and Golden Globe Award.  She received an Academy Award nomination for the Ragtime.  Other films include Ordinary People, Once Upon a Time in America, The Handmaid’s Tale and The Wings of the Dove.
