'A perfect screenplay and an absolute study in acting. Brilliant.' - Judge's Comments

A poignant story of love, commitment, sacrifice and the strength of the human spirit, Paris La Blanche follows Algerian grandmother Rekia whose husband immigrated to France in the 1970s to earn a living.  When, after 48 years, his letters suddenly cease - but his cheques continue - Rekia undertakes a gruelling solo trip from her village to Paris to reunite with a husband she hasn’t seen or spoken to in almost five decades.
