"You pack toothbrushes, and a big bottle of water. You put these things into a Mickey Mouse backpack. You don't remember who gave it to you but you've had it as long as you can remember."
Home is safety. Home is warmth. Home is the smell of your dad's cooking on a Sunday. But what happens when you're forced to flee?
This new play, written by Isabelle Kabban and devised by young people from Kingston, investigates why in a society so saturated with news we have become desensitised to the plight of refugees. Real stories, gathered from across the world, explore the current crisis and ultimately celebrate the universal need of a place to call your home.
