Singing it back choirs
The two Singing it back choirs, Prima Voce and Harmonies for Heroines bring their joyful harmonies, their soulful melodies and their passionate performances to entertain you.
Singing well known songs arranged in sumptuous harmony, their community choirs, established in 2008, will be showcasing the best of their Christmas repertoire. From John Lewis Christmas advert tunes to Santa’s sleighing theme, this year they guarantee to add a Christmas sparkle to your jumper.
Hummingbirds Choir
Founded in October 2021, the "London Korean Hummingbirds Choir" is delighted to be returning to the Rose since their first public performance, in April 2022 at the Mayor's "Vibrant Kingston" concert. The group have also performed at York University Korean Faculty, at Hampton Court Palace to celebrate 140 years' diplomatic ties between the UK and South Korea and then to welcome King Charles on his visit to New Malden in November.
The choir's ever-growing popularity for audiences in both the Korean and the wider local communities became hugely apparent for our live broadcast on BBC TV and radio in Christmas 2023.
KT6 Vocal Group
KT6 Vocal Group, an a cappella vocal group formed of passionate and fun-loving amateur singers who bring familiar favorites to life with just their voices. From contemporary pop-hits to folk-favorites, their harmonies create a sound that we hope is both inspiring and memorable. Originally founded in 2016, they have been singing under the direction of Musical Director Jake Alexander since 2021, who also creates all arrangements and offers a fresh take on familiar songs. They love to sing together and to socialise with each other sharing passions, good food and silly jokes. They're delighted to be invited to support this wonderful event in support of Rose Theatre.
Proceeds from this evening will support the Rose Theatre's diverse programme of drama, cultural and learning opportunities, helping to build a vibrant cultural heart for our community.
